Alliance française Trinidad et Tobago

Diplomas

During your course, you will have evaluations in order to know whether or not you are able to go to upper level.
At any moment, you can ask for a certificate stating your level.
The Alliance Française de Trinidad et Tobago doesn’t award local diplomas. We recommend you to sit internationally recognized diplomas as DELF or Tests as TEF or TCF.

What are DELF and DALF?
What is the TEF (Test d’évaluation de français)?

They are official DIPLOMAS of general Frenchlanguage from the French Ministry of Education. They give proof of your efficiency in French.
The TEF is an official TEST (adapted to  the needs of professionals)of  the Paris Chamber of Commerce. It gives your level on a scale.
Why should I write these exams/ Test?

These exams are internationally recognised. You can use them as verification of your efficiency in French on your résumé for Trinidadian or international companies and organizations. They are also recognised by French university and you will be asked for one of those diplomas if you want to study in France For you personally, these exams validate your growth in French. These are good aims that push you to derive the most benefit from your course.

This test is a test recognized by Canadian immigration (The test for Quebec is different).
How do they work ?
6 diplomas (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) for each progressive level exist, from basic to advanced. They correspond to the 6 steps stated in the Common Framework of References for Languages of the Council of Europe. Each exam tests the 4 main language skills: speaking, listening, reading, writing. Each diploma is independent and is valid for life.
